Automation Server

The Automation Server is what runs your scripts and thus needs to be manually started.

Under the Automation menu item, click the Server button to run the sever.

Or you can navigate to the Tools page and click the Automation Server button.

The Automation Server will be shown in the system tray. Clicking on the Smartflo icon will allow you to Stop or Restart the server.

Automation Scripts

Smartflo comes with two different types of automation scripts.

Auto scripts are scheduled based on some user interaction in Smartflo. Smartflo will check the record, when it is saved, to see if any active and schedule it to run if it does.

Scheduled scripts can be ran on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Click the Auto Scripts to bring up a list of all available scripts.

Click the New button to create a new Script.

Or double click an existing script to bring up the details.

Is Active – Smartflo only schedules active scripts to run. You can turn on or off scripts by clicking the Is Active checkbox.

Name – the name of the script.

Multiple Runs – when a script is scheduled to run it only runs one time unless you designate a different amount in this field.

Category – helps manage scripts by assigning scripts to categories.

On Create – the script will be ran when a new records is created and saved for the first time.

Fits Criteria – the script will run if it meets a specific criteria.

One Time Start Mode runs the script once begining on the Start Time.

Daily Start Mode will run the script on a daily basis beginning on the Start Time.

Recur Every Minutes – the script will continue to get ran, after the initial start, every so many minutes.

Recur Every Days – the script will continue to get ran after the initial start, every so many days.

Weekly Start Mode will run the script depending on the day beginning on the Start Time. Choose the days the script will run by checking Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Recur Every Minutes – the script will continue to get ran, after the initial start, every so many minutes.

Recur Every Days – the script will continue to get ran after the initial start, every so many days.

Automation scripts are accessible by clicking the Modules menu item.

Click the Automation menu item to see the Auto Scripts, Schedule Scripts and staring the Automation Server.
