sorry,
meant to show doesn't stick..i should have made a video but when you click OK it stays on the theme you had when you opened esb.. it keeps the changes name but the theme is not what it says.. I'll do a video when i get home.
again, it's not urgent ands it's aesthetic but i am just going through and checking things one by one. . wish others would come in and help instead of just reading thingsπŸ˜”

I'll do videos in future, sorry about that

It's not suppose to permanently change the theme for the window. It selects the theme for that project.

Howdy Thomas,
ok...i did the video.(just got home) ----> https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c3QojTVOZfi
If you check the video it opens saying that it's Office white..but the admin theme AND the project's theme NEITHER are office white.
When I run it...it's the theme I chose in the "view" for that application. That's ok.
Notice I change it to "ghost shark", it temporarily shows the colors of that theme...But...when you click "ok" nothing is saved...neither the project theme nor the running application. So it's doing nothing at the moment.
Doesn't your 3 dots do that?
Better go..my alarm went for my dinner. You ain't tasted a PIE till you've had a Vili's Pie 😁
Robbie.

Ah, I took it out when I added the ability for the end user to select their own skin. I need to remove that skin editor in the designer.

Thanks,

Thomas

The View is for changing the skin color in the designer.

The software skin designer editor (first picture) was for setting the skin for the project. Since the end user can change their own skin (the same way as in the designer), I can take this out. Otherwise you will overwrite their chosen skin every time you update it.

I don't have a lot of time to work on stuff like this as this needs to be finished. So whenever I get to it I will get to it. I'm going to be looking for a full time job soon as I need to help financially support my mom with my dad passing.

Yeah...all good Thomas, totally understand. It would be good to get the build soon ONLY for no other reason as to check things like that.
I realize the API needs more testing but if you think the "MAIN" core program is ready to test builds that would be good.
I was hoping to test a build with my activation in real case (with build) and making a doc manager or inventory manager or similar apps would be good to test.
No one seems to be coming in and helping as much so would it be a good time or not?
Just checking. Leave the skin thing...not important for sure. DOCS are in-your-spare-time, really. If others wanted to say something they seem too quiet and that (hope you other fellows are reading this) has been a bit sad and hard...but life tough too, I know well.
Sorry to hear that Thomas. Don't give up.

What do you want us to test mainly? Any major concerns? Things seem fine at this end. I Will play with API more this weekend but as you're not getting enough feedback you can if you think it's ready, get it to the next stage if you ok. No worry if it's perfect mate.

Small steps.... 😊 ...Sleep well. It will all be ok :)

My main focus is on help docs right now. Or more like finishing up the software program that generates the help docs.

It would help if more api's were tested. Mainly connecting to them (authentication), pulling data (converting json into our forms) into ESB without issues.

Thanks!

A quick test and everything looks good. Preset the skin with the software skin editor and when I run the program it shows the correct skin. It just won't update the skin when you install a new version as it will override the user's preference.

Robbie.

You forgot to click the save button after you changed the skin. You changed the skin and ran the program. The skin changes weren't saved at that point. ;)

All good. Please bear with Mr retard in the video...
I'm glad I got voice working..so you can see if i am getting confused or need a bit more detailed explanation.
Cheers Thomas... in any case...I'll keep working on the API stuff....I am just being, I HOPE, thorough in checking all the nooks and crannies so its all as checked as it can be so we can help you out :)

Audio is good mate. Definitely helps.

There is the skin for the Designer under the View page. That is only for the designer. I added that because you wanted to change the look of the designer when you are building your programs.

Then there is the software skin editor that will set the skin for the project when it is ran (installed). This will briefly show you the skin, in the Designer, when you select it and then the Designer will go back to the way it originally looked.

In other words, working like it should. lol

ahhh..." briefly" lol. But i didn't know that. So the above example..'Crambe' if I click dots it shows Crambe "theme" briefly and that will
be the chosen default skin when it is built...when they install then run it the first time, correct?
And then if they don't like our chosen DEFAULT Crambe...then in thier View tab they can choose a different one.

That's very clever. Glad you thought of that πŸ˜‚
Yeah, ok..make sense now. Rub it in...go on hahaha.

Sorry I have been very busy lately and was not able to help with testing as much as I would like to. However, I have been testing the API stuff here and there and I have been getting error messages with Oauth2 form with regards to scope parameter. I was waiting for the API docs incase I am missing something but will start posting the error messages anyways.
