ESB Installation

Roland messaged me saying he couldn't build a setup file with ESB.

I just downloaded the latest, created a quick project with a form and it created a setup/installation file.
The setup file installed with no issues.

Anyone else having issues creating setup files for installations?

Thanks!

I have version 5.0 and it seems to build installation file and install. However, on a side note, I was using 3.06 until just recently, and now it always wants to register and won't run, even though I used the old esbregister.exe file that used to fix it. So not sure what changed there, but it's not important as I was only using it for older programs that I should upgrade to 5 anyways :)

Are you having any issues running your projects on the newest version?

No issues running running/installing projects. the only problem, and I'm sure you know and have probably fixed this, is if I make a change/addition in the project in ESB 5, let's say by adding a few objects/fields into a project, and then recreate the installation file. It will still install over the old version, (after I uninstall the old version), but the updated/added objects/fields do not show up. So once I install a program I created, the only way to update it with new features is to export all the data, totally uninstall it, delete the folder it was in, install the new version, then import the data back in. This is why I had been using V3 still, because it would update with the new features. Not that I added any, but you know, if I did, nobody would want to do the export/import thing except me :) . Mostly at this point I'm the only one using what I create until you get the newest version out.

I'm testing the installations and updates right now for the current version. It will update the projects when they install your newer version.
