in V3 I can show a thumbnail of the image of my item in the list view. This was important as I may have 10-100
different clamps in a warehouse, say, that are "clamps" but look different.
So if there are hundreds of images it is convenient to search for "clamps" and say,10 appear in a search...they can then 'visually' see what they were after and double-click it to bring up the clamp they recognise and its data, to input more details or update it.
I still had images from Version 3 of what I mean:
So if I search (and I have 100 clamps, say) I can list them WITH an image and visually confirm which one (especially if they are similar in shape).
Just a text line description makes it too hard and is convenient to see. I have lots of ideas for this and not sure why i can't "SEE" my images in the
"column chooser"
Here is a screenshot of column chooser in V3:
In Version 5:
I can't see photos either in column chooser OR even if I click ADD in case it wasn't added to column list.
I checked and they are in the HomeInventory FORM.
To be safe, in case it was because V5 is different in that regard, I added the 'photo ed' at the bottom in V5 (the rest of the form was converted from V3->V4
and was saved in my LIBRARY and dragged that FORM over into workspace, as normal.
Important note:
This is a completely NEW project started from FRESH "except" for dragging over the home inventory form as I didn't want to completely
start from nothing. I am SAVING my project after every time i do a section, like adding an insurance editor, just in case.
TL;DR
The images from a "PICTURE EDITOR" are not appearing for me in the list and details and that's the way I like to show
some of my projects, visually.
Thanks.
PS: I reread what I wrote above, twice and hope my English is clear. Hope you understand it.
